Demo in Helsinki against use of private vehicles

A protest against use of private vehicles called Katu on Punk (Street is Punk) halted traffic on Lönnrotinkatu in Helsinki on Saturday.
Traffic was prevented from crossing the Annankatu and Fredrikinkatu intersections.
According to the police, no motorists were able to leave the occupied area.
About 150 people attended the street protest. The event organisers did not notify the police beforehand.
Katu on Punk protests are often arranged the same weekend as the Helsinki City Marathon.
