FTimes- STT Report, Aug 19

A 47-year-old man was found dead on Monday evening at a semi-detached house located at Kiurunkatu in Salo.

The police are treating the case as murder because it appears strong violence was used in the house where the man lived alone.

The police took three people for questioning on Tuesday but none was detained. The police will issue a briefing on the case on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile in Espoo, body of a man was found floating in the river on Tuesday, the police and the rescue department said.

The body was seen floating in the river during the morning hours, the rescue department said.

The police do not suspect foul play in the incident and are examining the case under normal death investigation and consider the use of violence very unlikely.

The body was spotted by a passer-by floating on the river adjacent to the Espoo Cathedral.

The man is thought to be slightly over middle aged.
