FTimes – STT Report, Sep 14

Trafficking of heroin using postal parcels is on the rise, reported the Turun Sanomat, a Finnish language daily.

The Finnish Customs has intercepted at this juncture of the year more parcels than it had seized throughout last year.

The Customs intercepts heroin parcels destined for the country on a weekly basis. The drug quantities are usually small.

The heroin consignments sent to the country come almost exclusively from the Netherlands.

Last year, the authorities discovered 45 heroine packages.
