The police stopped a van transporting explosives in violation of regulations in the early hours of Monday in Espoo.
 
The van was carrying 25 kilos of dynamite,180 detonators and 150 metres of detonating chord all loaded in one place even thought they should have been separated, for instance, with an intermediate wall.
 
The driver was a professional in the field of explosives, however, he did not posses the permit to transport dangerous substances.
 
Furthermore, the van was not marked that it was being used to transport dangerous substances. The van had also not passed the road worthiness test required to carry out such task.
 
The driver also was not in possession of a consignment document, safety guidelines or fire extinguishers.
 
The driver received heavy fines and a driving ban was also imposed on him.
