The District Court of Helsinki sentenced a middle-aged man for two years and seven months in prison for aggravated rape.
According to the document issued by the Court of Appeal, the man raped a 16-year-old on a public transport bus in 2012.
The man had sexual intercourse with the victim by taking advantage of the victim’s helpless situation.
The Court termed the act very humiliating which caused the victim considerable suffering.
The man was further ordered to compensate the victim and the Court of Appeal did not change the man's earlier verdict despite his appeal.
