According to Turunen, the issue will be handled by the party’s ministers, possibly as early as next week.
Perussuomalaiset leaders have already informed the Ministry of Finance that they consider the current proposal invalid.
However, Turunen did not wish to reveal the position of his party.
“I am at the bottom of the food chain. I have now completed my own work. Next the issue will be discussed by the party and then by the government,” Turunen told STT on Sunday.
The shareholders’ registry has been criticised by the police, the tax authorities and the press, among others.
The register is seen as, among other things, a hamper in the fight against the gray economy, because it would be harder to determine who owns the shares.
