According to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the suspected war crimes took place in Iraq in the summer of 2014.
The suspect is 29 years old. He was arrested on Friday.
The NBI is investigating the case in collaboration with the Security Police and foreign authorities.
A war crime is a charge which has several degrees of severity.
For example, torture during wartime is considered a war crime. A war crime also means abusing a white flag, the flag of the enemy or military dress.
Punishment for a war crime is imprisonment, sometimes for life.
