The prosecutor called the District Court of Eastern Uusimaa to impose fines on two nurses accused of assaulting people with disabilities.

The accusations brought against the two nurses were heard at the court on Tuesday.

According to the prosecutor, one of the accused nurses beat up with an open hand one resident of Kårkulla joint authority disabled housing unit in Sipoo.

The other nurse is suspected of two cases of assaults.

The prosecutor said the nurse twice slapped on the face one resident last year in June and December.

The suspects deny the allegations.

Kårkulla announced last year that the suspects no longer work at the unit.

The verdict on the case will be issued on December 1.
