The government on Wednesday survived a no-confidence motion brought in the parliament by the opposition parties regarding transportation services.

The motion was rejected by the House by 114 votes to 66 in the 200-seat parliament.

The opposition parties’ concerns involve the government’s plan not to purchase transportation ser-vices. Train services on several sections of rail in different parts of the country will be totally closed.

In the opposition parties’ views, the cuts in transport purchases reduce connections and harm pro-vincial economies.
