FTimes- STT Report, Nov 27

The police on Wednesday arrested two refugees in Saarijärvi in Central Finland on suspicion of luring children for sexual purposes, reported the Keskisuomalainen, a Finnish language daily.

The two suspects are in their 20s and 30s, and both are from Iraq.

According to the Keskisuomalainen report, the men are suspected of following a 15-year-old girl in downtown Saarijärvi, shouting at her, making obscene gestures with their hands and grabbing the girl’s hand.

The situation ended when the girl called her father, who came and picked her up.

The police found the men later the same day. According to the Keskisuomalainen, they were arrested on Thursday afternoon.

The police in a statement said they would announce on Friday morning whether the men were being charged or released.

There is a Finnish Red Cross reception centre in Saarijärvi, which is home to more than 300 refugees.
