In the statement published in several newspapers on Sunday, the party leaders said entire groups of people may be labelled due to the acts of individuals.
They pointed out that both asylum seekers and citizens of Finland have been responsible for the disturbances in and around reception centres.
The party leaders have appealed to Finns to help newcomers properly integrate into the Finnish society.
They said confrontations and conflicts between populations should not be stirred up.
“We Finns are a moderate and reasonable people. We have always remembered to respect the law and the rights guaranteeing equality for all. We must strive to remember that,” said the statement.
