Finance Minister Alexander Stubb on Monday was heckled while delivering a lecture at the University of Tampere.

The protesters numbering a dozen were demonstrating the cuts in education while Stubb held the lecture in a discussion programme at the university.

The commotion began when protesters heckled Stubb. One person held a lengthy and loud protest against the cuts on education and families and children.

The man accused the Ministry of Finance of kicking out over 3,000 people from the universities.

The protesters were forced out of the hall.

Some of the protesters covered their face with paper masks with the images of Stubb and Prime Minister Juha Sipilä.

Stubb’s mask read “sorry” in reference to his Saturday’s apology when he admitted having relayed wrong information on statements on nominee registration.

Stubb listened calmly to the verbal attacks and the event continued as planned.
