An 81-year old cyclist died Monday in Äänekoski in a collision with a car. The accident occurred along Tehtaankatu around 9.00 a.m.
There is a crosswalk at the site of the accident, and the speed limit is 40 km/h.
Neither alcohol nor other intoxicants are believed to have played a role in the accident.
According to investigators, the driver of the car is shocked by the situation and has not yet been formally questioned.
