Three people were killed in a collision between a truck and a passenger car in Laukaa in Pirkanmaa on Tuesday.
According to police, everyone in the car died in the accident.
The accident on Highway 9 opposite the Kylmäkoski Neste service station also involved a third car which was only damaged.
The road was blocked and traffic remained suspended for few hours due to the accident.
There is yet no information about the cause of the accident. Firefighters reported slippery roads as they left the station, said Jari Hiltunen of the Pirkanmaa emergency rescue center.
“We have complete confidence that the section of road [involving the collision] is not slippery. Based on the map, the section of road involved is pretty straight,” Hiltunen, however, said.
Police carried out tactical and technical investigations at the scene.
