A branch of OP Pohjola bank in Klaukkala, Nurmijärvi was robbed on Wednesday morning.

Police said that only one bandit equipped with a handgun entered into the bank at about 10:30am and demanded money and also left an unidentified package at the bank premises.

The police were forced to close down the area around Klaukkala downtown to investigate the un-identified package.

The suspect is still at large and the amount which was stolen is not yet known.

The police said that no one was hurt in the incident, and the suspect is not considered dangerous to the public.

The suspected robber is a young person, about 180-190 cm tall, with a normal or healthy body type. The perpetrator was wearing a dark jacket, jeans, and black and white shoes. He wore a headdress and carried a backpack.
