One person was burnt alive in a fire at a detached house at Linnavuorentie’s Vartioharju neighbourhood of Helsinki on Thursday afternoon.
The police suspect the person was a victim of homicide and are investigating the case as a petty criminal damage which is a complainant offence.
The police carry investigation in such cases only if the victim decides to press for charges.
The rescue department were alerted at 16:45 pm.
The police arrested a 1982-born man who escaped the flaring house by climbing the roof.
