The detention was decided in Tampere in a closed session without an audience. Both men's de-tentions are being handled separately. The senior investigating officer, detective chief inspector Jari Räty, said that the men opposed the decision to remand them and have denied the crimes.
The police suspected that the Iraqi brothers are members of the Isis extremist terrorist organisa-tion.
The National Bureau of Investigation told reporters yesterday that the 23-year-old men are sus-pected of shooting eleven prisoners in Iraq last year.
They were caught in the Forssa region on Tuesday.
The murders were carried out in Iraq near Tikrit, where Isis troops killed as many as 1700 Iraqi army cadets in training.
