Two girls aged 14 and 15 years were raped on Wednesday night at nine o'clock at a hotel in Oulu, the police said.
The suspect in the crime is a 43-year-old Finnish man who was taken into custody today by decision of the Oulu District Court.
The crime is being investigated as aggravated rape and aggravated sexual abuse of children.
According to news agency STT, Detective Chief Inspector Jukka Nurmenniemi refused to divulge details of the crime.
He did not say in which hotel the rapes had occurred or whether the girls knew each other.
