Parliamentary elections, social and healthcare reform (sote), and the extremist terrorist organisation Isis were among the top searches in the country this year as compiled by the search engine Google.
During the year, searches asking “What is sote?” and “What is Isis?” quickly became very common.
During the spring’s parliamentary elections, searches included, among other things, voting machines.
The most popular searches of all were the Finnish language daily Iltalehti and pop star Robin.
