A Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) leader of South-Savo district unit has been accused of an aggra-vated accounting offense and aggravated debt fraud, reported national broadcaster YLE.
The preparatory session of the case against Raimo Heinänen, district unit director of the party was held in the South-Savo District Court on Monday.
According to YLE, Heinänen is accused of, among other things, defaulting on accounts and giving false information during his tenure as CEO and sole board member of a market and cafeteria sales retailer.
The suspected crimes took place between 2007 and 2012.
In the Perussuomalaiset party congress in autumn, Heinänen vied for the post of vice president of the party.
