Two people were dead and one injured after a private car collided with a long haul passanger train in northeastern Finland on Monday, local media reported.
The accident took place at a level crossing in Siilinjärvi , north of Kuopio. No one was injured on the train. The crossing has no alarm system, according to media reports.
The affected track is part of the only direct rail connection between southeastern Finland to the northern city of Oulu.
The national transport authority said the track would remain closed until Monday evening.
