Two people were dead and one injured after a private car collided with a long haul passenger train in northeastern Finland on Monday.
The police said that a young man who was seriously injured in the accident died in the hospital.
The accident took place at a level crossing having no alarm system in Siilinjärvi, north of Kuopio. No one on the train was injured.
All of the victims were native men of North Savo, born in 1997.
The trains were replaced on Monday by buses between Siilinjärvi and Kuopio due to the railway crossing accident. Traffic returned to normal on Tuesday morning.
Besides the police, the North Savo Traffic Board is investigating the accident.
