The deal was done, according to the newspaper, on March 21. According to the National Land Survey real estate information, the purchase price of the house was 570,000 euros.
Sipilä in September 2015 said he was willing to provide this little-used house to the refugees.
The prime minister at that time said he had come to agreement with his family about the decision and it would be available from the end of 2015.
However, in January, he announced that due to security reasons, the house could not be used for sheltering asylum seekers.
