The man was handed a 35-day fine, which equates to 210 euros, for defamation and petty vandalism. The incident occurred in Tampere in November last year.
According to the district court, the act exceeded acceptable limits, even if the purpose was to criticize the political activity of Stubb.
“They have drastically limited how one can express their opposition to politics,” remarked the defence attorney, Arjo Suonperä.
According to Suonperä, the convict intends to appeal the decision.
