Hiski Haukkala has been appointed foreign policy adviser to the President on Tuesday, said an official press release.
 
Hiski Haukkala currently works as an Associate Professor of International Relations at the School of Management at the University of Tampere, and as a Senior Researcher at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
 
He will assume his position as Foreign Policy Adviser on 1 August 2016.
 
The current Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of the Republic, Mikko Hautala, will take up the post of Finnish Ambassador in Moscow on 1 September.
