A series of arson incidents took place in Pukinmäki area of Helsinki late Friday and early Saturday nights.  
 
The Helsinki police are investigating the fires as intentional destruction of property. 
 
According to the Rescue Department, there were eight incidents of fire during the period in the area.
 
No residential buildings were set ablaze, and no one was injured. 
 
Areas that were set on fire included a carport, an apartment bulletin board, a compost, and personal property in the yard of a house.
 
The Rescue Department received the alarm at around 12.30am on Saturday. 
 
The fire chief on duty, Kimmo Tuominen believes all the fires were lit within half an hour to 12.30am.
 
Detective Chief Inspector Heikki Sandberg did not say whether the police have any clue about the crimes. 
 
According to the Helsinki police, no one had been arrested in connection with the incidents till Saturday.
