More than half of the Finns perceive the Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party) leadership as incompetent, reported the national broadcaster Yle. The corresponding figure was 32 per cent in October last year.

The data was found in a survey commissioned by Yle and conducted on the perceptions of people on the political parties.

According to the survey findings, 40 per cent of the respondents believe the Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) leaders to be incompetent, with the Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party) and the Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP) both sharing a 37 per cent score.

According to the survey report, the Kokoomus is facing a rising perception of arrogance. About 61 per cent of the respondents felt that the Kokoomus is an arrogant party.

On the other hand, the Kokoomus received the best rating when asked about the societal reforms.

The poll conducted by TNS Gallup examined the public images of the six major parties. More than 1,300 people responded in the survey.
