An elderly cyclist was killed when he was run over by a car on a pedestrian crossing at Raisio on Thursday morning, police said.
The 86-year-old resident of Raisio was riding a bicycle past a pedestrian crossing at Alhaistentie when the accident took place.
Two cars stopped before the pedestrian crossing, however, another car came from behind and run over the cyclist.
The police are investigating the case as aggravated endangering of traffic safety and manslaughter.
