One person has been charged for vandalism and aggravated trespass in connection with an inci-dent in which an air rifle was fired at the home of outgoing minister Alexander Stubb, reported national broadcaster Yle.

The vandalism incident occurred last August in Haukilahti, Espoo. Stubb and his family were asleep when two men in their 20s shot at the windows of his home. The same evening, the two also vandalised a school and a daycare.

Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat reported in April that one of the suspects died while under criminal investigation.

The other man was handed a total of six charges for the series of events. According to Yle, he has admitted to the deeds.
