Prime Minister Juha Sipilä will fly a leased aircraft to the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Mongolia.
Sipilä revealed the plan to the national broadcaster Yle on Wednesday.
The meeting will be held in Ulaanbaatar on Friday and Saturday.
The Prime Minister’s Office told the news agency Yle that a leased aircraft is being used for the trip, and that Sipilä is paying for the plane himself.
Sipilä has flown aircraft on official travels before.
Leased aircraft is often used for state leadership when air connection choices to the destination are poor.
