The District Court of Espoo on Wednesday sentenced a 41-year-old man to life-term imprisonment for murder of his wife.
 
The murder took place at the couple’s residence at Mankkaa in Espoo in May 2015.
 
Psychiatric examination found the convict, Frank Zoko Ble, responsible for his actions when he slashed his wife in their bedroom with a knife. He stabbed her 27 times in different parts of the head, neck, waist, and upper limbs.
 
According to the prosecutor, the man finally killed his wife in execution style by stabbing her at the spinal cord.
 
The motive of the convict, a former member of national karate team, according to the prosecutor, was his jealous imagination.
 
The prosecutor does not intend to appeal the verdict. The lawyer of the convict expressed dissatisfaction at the verdict, but he has not yet discussed the matter with his client.
