An accident involving a truck laden with sulphuric acid in Lahti is under suspicion for numerous offenses, police said on Thursday.

The accident is suspected to have been caused by faulty loading and slight speeding.

Police investigation suggested that the sulfuric acid had been loaded into the trailer in a way that allowed it to move and caused the trailer to sway.

The load also surpassed the weight limitation.

The investigation also suggested slippery road and tired state of the driver as partial causes for the accident.

Truck laden with sulphuric acid fell on road and hit a wall of a roadside block of flats at Sopenkorpi in Lahti in March.
