The Finnish Defence Forces suspect that the results of conscripts’ psychological tests have been leaked abroad, reported a Finnish language newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat.

The leak may involve more than 400,000 basic psychological tests, which may contain personally identifiable information.

According to a memorandum delivered from the Defence Command to its legal department, the information may have been leaked from Finnish researchers to British researchers.

When contacted by the Helsingin Sanomat, the researchers denied the accusations.

The Defence Forces allow researchers to explore the basic psychological tests, but do not issue permits to foreigners.

According to the Helsingin Sanomat, Defence Command’s suspicions were awakened by a memorandum by the Archiving Department which mentioned that British researchers had a very large pool of information.

No foreigners, though, had been granted permission to use the information.

The matter is still being handled by the Defence Command.
