In the morning, the cabin’s occupants witnessed a vision that stunned them all, said Ojala, for the Lake Lohja had begun to throw water into the air.
“My sister’s husband heard a noise and he thought it came from the water. As it was not raining, he looked at the lake and realised that a vortex was about to begin,” said Ojala.
According to Ojala, the water created a kind of sea foam and it was a whirlpool that was making the noise.
Everyone left the cabin and went to the beach to watch the vortex form. The vortex began to fade fairly quickly, so the audience thought the natural show was over, but “then it started again and lifted the water even higher!” Ojala said.
