The survey examined the views of the parents of children in the age groups of 6-12 years and 13-16 years.
In both the groups, the major concern of the parents was that children spent too much time at cell phone.
For the parents of children in the age group 6-12, the second major concern was related to malicious websites.
Regarding the parents of 13-16-year-old children, the second major worry concerned the effect of use of phone on the quality of sleep or sufficient rest.
The survey conducted by interviewing the parents through email in June was answered by approximately 800 parents of children in the age group 6-12 years and approximately 300 parents of children in the age group 13-16 years.
