The fire occurred overnight, but Fire and Rescue Services were not alerted to shoreside cabin until the afternoon when a relative came to visit.
The Rescue Department said that the fire did not reach the outside of the building, and that the building looked intact from the outside.
The fire had already burnt out when Fire and Rescue Services arrived on scene.
The approximately 40 square meter cabin was badly damaged inside, but the fire had smothered due to lack of oxygen.
The Rescue Department estimates that the building was sealed tight, as even the windows were not damaged by the fire.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
