Former Prime Minister Alexander Stubb will continue his responsibility as a lawmaker and work in the parliamentary foreign affairs committee.

“We are as a family not leaving Finland. We need to remember the basics, we have two teenage children,” said Stubb who is the immediate past Chairman of the Kansallinen Kokoomus ( Na-tional Coalition Party), a component of the three-party alliance government.

Stubb said that he has no inspirations for the post of Finland's ambassador in Stockholm.

He said that he has been contacted by some possible employers over the summer.

Stubb was the chairman of Kokoomus until Petteri Orpo took over the party leadership beating him in an election in June.

Orpo also replaced Stubb as the Finance Minister after he became the party chair.
