Vantaa rescue department said the fire alarm was unfounded.
The director of the shopping centre, Olli Lehtoaro said the alarm came from one fire alarm button situated on the wall.
“It will be investigated whether it was human error or technical fault,” said Lehtoaro.
Lehtoaro said the alarm was received at around 1:50 p.m.
The rescue department gave the permission for people to return to the shopping centre about 20 minutes later.
“I do not know the exact figure; however, on a normal Saturday we are talking about thousands of customers,” said Lehtoaro.
