The District Court of North Savonia this month sentenced a 23-year-old man for conditional im-prisonment for attempting to solicit phone sex and pictures from children and young people.
The victims who were 12 in total were aged 11-15 years. The acts happened in Kuopio in 2013.
The man had approached the victims on social media site Facebook under the name "Ilolla Iiro" promising them money among other things in return.
The man was sentenced to six months’ conditional imprisonment for several attempted buying of sexual services from young people, attempted child sexual abuse and one count of child sexual abuse.
