One person was reportedly killed in a clash between the inmates of a shared apartment building at Suutarila area in Helsinki late Sunday night.
Police recovered the body of the 42-year-old victim on the external stairs of a small apartment building in Töyrynummi at about 10:00 pm.
Police arrested one person of 39 years age in connection with the murder.
Based on police investigation, it is suspected that there was a dispute between the two men in the shared apartment whereby the 39-year-old man killed the older man.
The men were known to each other but were not relatives.
Due to investigative reasons, detective chief inspector Teemu Kruskopf did not reveal how the crime was committed or the motive.
