A Common Stonechat has been spotted in Seurasaari, Helsinki, said the bird enthusiasts’ association Tringa-yhdistys.
Helsinki-based bird enthusiasts Ville Supponen spotted the bird for the first time in October 28; however, the bird was formally identified on Wednesday.
The Common Stonechat nests in a wide area in Siberia and winters in India and the Southeast Asia.
The species has previously been spotted once in Sweden and a few times in the United Kingdom.
