Sat, 19 Nov, 2016 12:08:42 AM FTimes – STT Report, Nov 19  File Photo – Lehtikuva. District Court of Rovaniemi on Friday decided not to repeal the sentence handed to a 44-year-old man for rape that took place at a hotel in Oulu.
The Court sentenced the man for four-and-a-half years of imprisonment for two aggravated cases of rape and two aggravated cases of underage sexual abuse.
The victims were 14 and 15 years old, and were unknown to the man before the incident which took place in December last year.
The man was found naked in his hotel room when the police squad arrived.
The man had had sexual intercourse with the intoxicated victims.
The Court of Appeal as well as the District Court found that one of the victims was unable to defend or express herself due to unconsciousness of helpless state. The other victim was not unconscious but was unable to defend herself.
