One person sustained bullet wounds in a clash at Raasepori in western Uusimaa on Sunday morning.

The man who received the gunshot wounds has been entrusted to hospital care, said the police, adding that the shooting took place early Sunday morning at about 5.00am.

The Western Uusimaa police director-general and on-duty head of investigation, Lauri Hakkala said both the victim and the suspects are men aged 20 to 30. The shooting took place in a private area.

According to Hakkala’s information, the wounded man is in a stable condition and is able to speak. The case is being investigated as attempted murder.

The police detained a number of people at the scene, who participated in the events being investigated.

According to Hakkala, the police will continue to reach out to potential witnesses, which is why information about the course of events or the weapons used have not yet been revealed.

The gun used in the shooting is being held by the police.
