The two Presidents discussed various issues including bilateral relations, Russia, and the Arctic Council whose presidency will be transferred from the United States to Finland in spring 2017.
They also discussed about the celebration of the centenary of the Finland's independence during the phone call.
Terming the Finns as great people, Trump requested Niinistö to extend his greetings to Finland, the press release added.
