On the same occasion the President released Olli Rehn from his duties as Minister of Economic Affairs.
Earlier, the Economic Affairs Minister Olli Rehn has decided in mid-October to quit the cabinet of the three-party alliance government after parliamentary Supervisory Council appointed him to the board of the Bank of Finland.
The Government plenary session on 29 December decided on the division of responsibilities and ministerial deputies as well as on the composition of ministerial committees and the Economic Council.
The Government also decided to submit a communication to Parliament on Minister Lintilä’s private interests.
