The government is no more interested to take the responsibility of the state-run beverage company Altia due to strategic reason and thinking to give up its ownership.

Earlier, the parliament in 2001 gave consent to handover 51.1 percent ownership to private operator but now further approval is needed to give up the total share.

The amended proposal of the parliament was published on Friday, which recommended floating of the company share in the stock market.

The former minister of Economic Affairs, Jyrki Häkämies  also made a proposal last year in this regard.
