The number of new vehicles registered in April posted an increase of 44.1 per cent from that in the same month in 2012, according to the Statistics Finland.
The Statistics Finland in a preliminary report released recently said a total of 18,074 new motor vehicles including 9,850 passenger cars were registered in the country in last month.
The number of new passenger cars registered in the month was 142.6 per cent higher than that in April 2012.
The report was prepared based on the Vehicular and Driver Data Register of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency.
The number of passenger cars registered for the first time in January to April was 37,491, down by 27.8 per cent from that in the corresponding period of last year.
The most common passenger cars registered for the first time in the four months are Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo, said the report.
