Smartphone consumers seem to be unhappy with the services provided by the phone companies as the number of complaints against them were mounting.

More than 2,500 complaints against the smart mobile phones were recorded with consumer agency annually, said consumers agency sources.

The most common complaints lodged by the consumers are the phone companies do not maintain the guarantees given over the services, when faults detected in phone sets.

About 100 cases of faults already forwarded to the Consumer Complaint Board where the consumers did not get proper services despite the guarantee that the company pledged before selling the phones.

In most cases, the consumers were deprived of services when the phone sets went inoperative due to damages caused by water or falling down, said sources.

The number of complaints against the phone companies including Nokia Lumia and Apple iPhones are almost same when the consumers failed to specify the faults as per the description of the companies
