Canadian smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry has performed worse than expected, news agency STT reported quoting Reuters.
The company's net loss increased to 84 million dollars (about EUR 65 million) in a quarter, which ended in early June.
Share price came crashing after the announcement of 20 per cent.
Market had expected a slightly positive result, but it was not seen that the result would turn a profit in the near future. BlackBerry new models Z10 and Q10's sales were 2.7 million units. In all, the company delivered 6.8 million of the device.
BlackBerry in recent years suffered the same fate as Nokia did. It has lost its position as the smartphone market, which is currently dominated by Android phones and Apple'siPhone.
