The total industrial output adjusted for working days has gone down by 5.7 per cent in last June compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, according to the Statistics Finland.
 
In the first half of the year, industrial output adjusted for working days went down by 5.2 per cent in a year.
 
Industrial output diminished in several main industries. Output fell most, by 10.7 per cent, in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply industries.
 
Output in the electrical and electronics industries has decreased by 9.7 per cent from one year back. Output in the metal industry went down by 8.5 per cent.

Among main industries, output increased most in mining and quarrying, which grew by 4.0 per cent compared with that in the year before.
 
In the food industry, output grew by 1.6 per cent on year-on-year basis.
 
Capacity utilisation rate in manufacturing (C) was 79.9 per cent in June showing 2.5 percentage points lower than one year earlier.

In the forest industry, capacity utilisation rate was 80 per cent in June, 1.3 percentage points lower than in June 2012.
 
In the metal industry, capacity utilisation rate was 80.6 per cent in June, which was 4.8 percentage points lower than a year earlier.
